Abstract/Summary Stephen Gee studied architecture at The University of Queensland. After winning the AE Brooks Travelling Scholarship in Architecture he worked and studied overseas. In London he joined Inskip + Jenkins in 1990 becoming a Director in 2003 and recently a Partner in Inskip Gee Architects. The partnership is one of the world’s leading conservation practices. It is recognised widely for its work in preparing conservation plans that establish the policies by which architectural sites of aesthetic and historical importance should be guided in terms of cultural significance, maintenance, repair, expansion and modification. In the last decade Stephen’s conservation work has ranged from Chatsworth in Derbyshire to the Salk Institute, La Jolla, California, designed by Louis Kahn.
