Rhyl Hinwood was the University scultptor from 1976 to 2011. This grotesque of depicts her wearing a protective mask and respirator and she holding a a pneumatic angle grinder in one hand while pressing her other hand to ear. According to Rhyl, this is a comment on her the noise and dangerous nature of her work.
