Abstract A four-electrode bridge is described for the observation of the electrolyte conductivity during the electrolysis of rock electrodes. A brief account is given of the accompanying electronics for the continuous recording of conductance during potential sweeps of a specimen electrode. Examples of conductance recordings are given of metal-electrode reactions at test Pb and Cu electrodes and a chalcopyrite rock electrode in pH 2-8 electrolytes.
