Abstract SUMMARY A case of squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue in an 11‐year‐old castrated male cat is described. The clinical signs of excessive salivation and inability to eat or drink were associated with enlargement of the tongue. The pathology, possible aetiology and pathogenesis of the neoplasm are discussed. Copyright
