Abstract A 3 dB quadrature hybrid in the form of a 4- port microstrip circular disc, is investigated experimentally and theoretically. The hybrid consists of additional reactive stubs and impedance steps to achieve greater operational bandwidth. A relative bandwidth of over 20% is easily obtained for this device.
