Abstract Poinsettia mosaic virus has been identified for the first time in Queensland. It produces strong mosaic symptoms in outdoor plants of some dwarf poinsettia cultivars in the winter months, but symptoms became masked in the summer. Potted dwarf poinsettias obtained from interstate nurseries were also infected.
