Abstract/Summary Point to multipoint distribution systems (MDS) commonly use lower microwave frequencies and an essential component of these networks are reliable and cost effective downconverters. The downconverter described translates any one of five channels in a 35MHz bandwidth at 2. 096GHz to a standard IF in a compact, self-contained unit.
