The Grahame Garner collection consists of negatives and scanned images of radical protest and street marches in Brisbane during the 1960s and 1970s.

Grahame Garner was a lifelong campaigner for peace and socialism and a talented photographer who documented street protests and May Day processions in Brisbane during the 1960s and 70s. In 1969 he organised and photographed Brisbane's last tram ride.

Additional Notes Trams in depot opposite Princess Alexandra Hospital, Ipswich Rd, Woolloongabba in 1969. The Brisbane tramway system closed in 1969 with the last tram passing through Woolloongabba on the 13th of April.
