Abstract/Summary William Nathaniel Roberston was born in Edinburgh in 1886. He arrived in Australia shortly after graduating from the Unviersity of Edinburgh in 1893, practising medicine in Ipswich and Brisbane where he became very active and highly regarded in the medical community. Soon after the foundation of the University of Queensland he served on the Senate and from 1926 to 1938 was Vice-Chancellor, then known as Deputy Chancellor. He passed away on 12 June 1938.
