Abstract Carbapenemase phenotypic tests (inhibitor-based, modified Hodge and Carba NP) for Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates from patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) were evaluated with PCR as a reference assay. Except for Carba NP, all methods demonstrated high false positives. Carba NP test presents a promising screening method for CF P. aeruginosa isolates.
