Formatted abstract
This report focuses on developing a CO2 capture material with high sorption captivity. CaO sorbents were prepared using different precursors, including CaCO3, Ca(CH4COO)2, Ca(CH4COO)2/Al(NO3)3 and Ca(CH3COO)2/Mg(NO3)2. The sorbent CaO/Ca12Al14O33 prepared from calcium acetate Ca(CH4COO)2/Al(NO3)3 performed the best capture ability for CO2 with a good stability. During a 9 cycle of carbonation-calcination process, the sorbent demonstrated the best regeneration ability. It starts conversion of 80% at the first cycle and it maintained at a fairly high conversion of conversion of 60% at 650 °C after 9 cycles.
