Firstly, this project considers the storage market generally and assesses how mini-storage fits within this framework. The mini-storage market is analysed in depth with particular attention given to the Brisbane scene. Issues which are reviewed include historical development, overseas trends, factors precipitating the development of mini-storage, the product, demand and supply, major players, buyers, pricing and promotional activities. A case study of one of the most successful Australian mini-storage firms is detailed. Finally, the mini-storage market is evaluated in terms of Bain's model of industrial organisation.
