Abstract/Summary This photo is taken from the Carmody road area and shows the Caretakers' Cottage at The University of Queensland. Other buildings pictured include the Forgan Smith building, Goddard Building and John Hines building. The Caretakers' cottage was part of the St. Lucia Farm School prior to development by the university and then was moved to this location of the present-day J.D. Story building. Prior to the construction of J.D. Story building the cottage was moved again to the site of the present-day Skerman building and eventually was re-located to the campus Child Care Centre in the early 1970's.
