Abstract Herein we describe a novel stereoselective synthesis of cis-vinylstannanes employing the widely established Li/Te exchange pathway. In contrast to previously reported methods of cis-selective hydrostannation (i.e., ZrCl(4)), this method demonstrates compatibility toward oxygenated substrates.
