Abstract/Summary This project aimed to assist the Ministry of Health to coordinate the establishment of an Allied Health Council to guarantee that health services are effective, efficient and that quality health services are provided to improve health status of Samoans. To ensure that each of the allied health professions were consulted regarding their issues and concerns with the establishment of the Council, a series of consultation meetings were held with each of the individual professions during the second phase of the project. This was followed by two negotiation workshops in the third phase of the project that brought all the professions together to gain agreement on the mechanisms and processes required for establishing the Council. This report outlines the challenges, issues, outcomes and recommendations that have emerged throughout the phases of the project according to the topical areas discussed, rather than following the project process in chronological order.
