Abstract The five zoeal stages and megalopa of the sand bubbler crab, Scopimera inflata H. Milne- Edwards, 1837, cultured in the laboratory are described and illustrated. The larval morphology of S. inflata is similar to that known for other Scopimera species. This similarity enables the differentiation of Scopimera zoeae from those of Dotilla and Ilyoplax, the other genera in the subfamily Scopimerinae.
