Abstract Contrary to Baker and Smith’s (1910) statement, the turpentine from Araucaria cunninghamii Ait. does not contain methanes or menthenes. Identified constituents include n-nonane, n-undecane. (—)- and (±)-α-pinene, (—)-β-pinene, myrcene, (±)-limonene, terpinolene, caryophyllene, and humulene.
