Abstract/Summary This month’s new idea addresses the vexed issue of quantitative skills in the biosciences. It points to a free resource, Mathbench, which now has an Australian group leading local implementation. Re-use of open resources is often the best way to get action quickly but don’t forget to allow time and effort to embed in your local programs.
