An Energy Audit was conducted on the Hawken Engineering Building with the purpose of finding methods for reducing emissions of CO2 that resulted from the buildings consumption of electricity. Results obtained were within 6% of the officially measured power consumption. The primary sources for power consumption were Lighting, Computers, Misc. Equipment and Air Conditioning.

The audit was conducted using researched methods. Results for reducing consumption of a minimum of 5% were obtained. These results if applied across the entire university could save significant quantities of CO2 emissions resulting from the universities power consumption.
