Abstract/Summary Sir James William Blair, 1870 - 1944, was a member of the University Senate and served as Chancellor from 1927 until 1944. A lawyer by profession, he represented Ipswich in the State Parliament from 1902 to 1915, and was appointed Attorney-General in 1903. Blair drive is named in his honour.
