Abstract Since high school, I had always wanted to build a laser harp. It seemed like such a fun combination of technology and music, but my technical knowledge was lacking at the time. So in early 2014, when I was beginning my second year of electrical engineering studies, I was a bit bored, and I decided to go for it. I completed a basic version of the harp in a few weeks and learned a lot along the way.
