Abstract/Summary The electrical and thermal properties of linear low density polyethylene composites reinforced by mesophase pitch-based carbon fibers and carbon nanofibers were studied. Melt-mixing was used to intimately blend the matrix and the filler by using intensive batch mixing and twin-screw extrusion. In general, properties such as electrostatic dissipation, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity increase with increasing filler content.
