Formatted Abstract/Summary
This world première stage production uses a unique partnership of drama and dance to tell the extraordinary story of one of the 20th century's most famous ballerinas, Dame Margot Fonteyn.

Dame Margot Fonteyn was adored and revered... she held the world of ballet at her feet for decades, and left priceless memories. But for all the joy and triumph, Fonteyn's life was marked by sadness.

Fonteyn Remembered is a world première dance-drama, featuring actors Bille Brown, Carol Burns and Eugene Gilfedder, and the dancers of Queensland Ballet paying tribute to Fonteyn's exceptional gifts as a dancer.

Queensland Ballet's Fonteyn Remembered is a moving tribute to a unique artist. 2 - 16 October at the Playhouse, QPAC.
