Abstract/Summary Papers of Walter Cunningham Hume (1840 – 1921), surveyor and Chief Commissioner for Lands for Queensland; his wife Katie, daughter Ethel, brother Washington Hume, and members of both their families in England. They lived at Drayton, Toowoomba, and Brisbane. Album 8 title page: To Walter C Hume Esq., from the Survey Department on his retirement from the Public Service of Queensland. The officers of the Survey Department have pleasant recollections of Mr Hume's connection with the Dept for many years as a Surveyor and District Surveyor. 30 March 1901.
