Formatted Abstract/Summary
...This chapter intends to provide a brief overview of some of the main movements worldwide concerning advocacy in cancer care, by depicting some illustrative examples of some of the actions undertaken in the five continents, and how this has been translated to influence better policies in cancer care, with particular emphasis on how it has helped to move psychosocial oncology care forward. We will begin with the European perspective, followed by the United States and Australian views, and conclude with the experiences in Asia and Africa.
