We are pleased to introduce AMLE’s special issue on advances in cross-cultural management learning and education. This topic has never been more relevant, as millions of organization members, managers, and executives find themselves dealing with colleagues and customers who grew up in a different culture from their own and who, in more ways than one, speak a “different language.”...

...In this editorial, we give an overview of the current trends in CCM education followed by the key opportunities for advancing the paradigm, knowledge, and practice of CCM based on the contributions here (e.g., the use of virtual team exercises, attempts to incorporate experiential elements into the design of courses). We conclude with possible research directions.
