Abstract The author comments on the outcomes of the 2007 Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) National Architecture Awards. She considers public architecture as the richest and most competitive field. She claims that projects in the residential categories seem refined but conservative. She criticizes the range of architectural approaches in the Residential category.
