Formatted Abstract/Summary

Seven faunal zones ranging in age from Frasnian to late Visean have been distinguished in the Upper Palaeozoic formations of the Mt. Morgan district. The faunas consist mainly of brachiopods, and include more than thirty-six species and varieties, as well as the two genera Sulcatospirifer gen. nov., and Prospira gen. nov. The Frasnian and late Tournaisian faunas show closest relation with those of Southern Asia, while the Famennian and early Tournaisian faunas contain certain North American elements.
