This concert presents modern and traditional music from East Timor and leading Australian world musicians together with film animation from Griffith Film School. It is in direct support of the creation of a college of creative industries in Dili and a joint venture of Griffith University and the Government of East Timor. The music direction of the concert is by Topology and is presented by Tony Fry of Qld College of Art.

As well as this extraordinary combination of music, Scope of Hope features spectacular visual images. Projected images, film and animation will present Timor culture's offerings. These produced Timorese artists and film makers, designers and animators are from the Queensland College of Art and Griffith Film School. Timor music and culture is coming out of the shadows.
