Formatted Abstract/Summary
Musical composition existing as a live performance. This highly innovative work introduces the technique of self-referential prosodic composition. The four members of the Brodsky Quartet were interviewed, and the intonation was used as the basis for the entire melodic structure of the composition. Each member performed their own speech melodies, instrumentally accompanying their own recorded speech. As they discussed the the other members of the quartet, these members performed other material.

Presented during "Topology and the Brodsky Quartet".
