Formatted Abstract/Summary
Cross-genre exploration of a wide range of song repertoire in a two-hour collaborative concert between pop singer Tyrone Noonan (george) and Topology.

Robert Davidson and Tyrone Noonan jointly curated this two-hour concert of original music and arrangements of popular songs, including work by Kurt Weill, The Beatles, The Saints, Tom Waits, Radiohead, The Go-Betweens, Philip Glass and Michael Nyman. The project is an investigation into opportunities for collaborative creativity in transgressing boundaries between art music and popular music, both in style and approach. It also focused on Brisbane's distinctive identity as a locale for exploratory songwriting.

Robert Davidson was artistic director, curator, composer, bassist and conductor for this event
