Abstract/Summary Quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to measure the mRNA levels of a selection of genes involved in skeletal muscle growth in Bali cattle. The findings of this study provide preliminary evidence for differences in mRNA levels in the skeletal muscle of male and female Bali cattle at approximately 100 kg, 190 kg and 250 kg live weight.
