Abstract/Summary A natural draft cooling tower made of steel has been designed for a hypothetical 25-MW geothermal power plant with Enhanced Geothermal System (EGS). The cycle analysis indicated that only 15% thermal efficiency can be achieved if one wants to maximise the exergy (utilization) of the geofluid with temperature of 220oC. This low thermal efficiency of the geothermal power plant results a relatively large natural draft cooling tower.
