Abstract New software design and implementation methodologies are proposed in an attempt to overcome the high failure rate of eHealth projects. These new methodologies and architectures are based on Participatory Design principles, and Model Driven Development techniques. Their possible use is explained in the context of an example application in the coordination of treatment and wellness programs for the frail aged and chronically ill in community care settings.
