In this thesis an attempt is made to investigate the Queensland coal industry's international competitiveness. A survey was circulated throughout the industry, which identified some of the major factors believed to impede Queensland coal industry's international competitiveness. Tables and graphs were constructed to provide a positive analysis of Queensland coal industry's competitive position. The role of the Australian government was also critically examined.
