The rapid expansion of intra-regional trade of Australia with Asia Pacific has been one of the factors for Asia Pacific economic dynamism in recent years. This paper seeks to explain the nature of economic integration in Asia Pacific, examined the revealed comparative advantage of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Economies, and to draw implications for the future of Australia's trade performance.
