白陶是二里头文化中极为珍贵罕见的器物,一般仅发现于二里头遗址以及其他大型遗址的高规格墓葬中,多数为具有礼制意义的酒器,具有特殊的重要性。目前二里头文化各遗址中都未发现就地生产白陶的可靠证据,但近年登封市南洼遗址的一些考古发现说明该遗址可能是二里头时期的一个白陶生产中心。我们用高精度的电感耦合等离子体质谱法(ICP-MS)测试比较了二里头与南洼两遗址出土的共24块白陶片的40余种微量元素含量,用热电离质谱法(TIMs)测试了其锶同位素含量,并以唐代巩县黄冶窑生产的唐三彩与白瓷胎作为参照。这些陶瓷的化学特点显示南洼出土的白陶可能为当地生产。二里头遗址出土白陶有一些可能是南洼所产,但也有许多很可能并非南洼产品,而是另有产地。由于所测样品数量不多,以上观点还有待进一步证实,不过本文显示同一中国古代窑址只要使用的黏土来源相同,那么其陶瓷产品锶同位素87Rb/86Sr与87Sr/86Sr的比值多数会形成比较明确的特定线性关系,这为探讨遗址、墓葬、沉船等出土的产地有争议的陶瓷生产地,提供了明确可靠的判定标准,在古陶瓷产地研究中具有重要的应用前景。

[White pottery is an extremely rare Erlitou artifact, usually only found in the Erlitou site and other large burial sites of the high-profile, most of the wine has a ritual significance, with special importance.
