Self-assembled Fe0.02Ge0.98 dilute magnetic quantum dots show a high Curie temperature above 400 K. Such extraordinary magnetic properties can potentially resolve the critical problem of power dissipation in todays integrated circuits and lead to the realization of a new class of spintronics devices. © 2010 American Chemical Society.
