Abstract/Summary Robb's Monument, taken during construction of the Cairns Herberton railway, Queensland, 1892. Robb's Monument is on the route of the Cairns Railway line near Barron Falls. The rock is named after the contractor John Robb and serves as a memorial to the railway workers, many of whom were Italian or Irish (Information taken from: R. Ellis, Rails to the Tableland : , 1976).
