Abstract/Summary International travel is part of modern life. International travel is increasing by six percent per year; and current rates for such international travel will have doubled by the year 2020. One in ten travellers to the developing world requires medical care during or after travel. Lifestyle changes and personal affluence are such that an increasing number of children comprise an important sub-population of the international travel scene.
