Formatted Abstract/Summary
Aim
To evaluate the effect of educational outreach visits, ‘detailing’ Palliative Care (PC) to General Practitioners (GPs).

Conclusion
This pilot showed that outreach visits can have positive effects for GPs regarding their own practice, and their relationship with specialist services. More formal studies, including evaluation of patient and family outcomes, should be undertaken.
