Abstract/Summary Dormitories and dining hall at the Queensland Agricultural College, Gatton. UQ Gatton dates from 1897, when the Queensland Agricultural College opened as a combined agricultural college and experimental farm. This concluded a 20-year debate by farmers and politicians on ways to boost agricultural production in Queensland. Over the years the College was a high school, U.S. Army field hospital, College of Advanced Education and finally a campus of the University of Queensland. [Information taken from the UQ Gatton Campus website on 24 August 2009] Glass slide of the Queensland Agricultural College, Gatton, its dormatories and dining hall donated by the Anthropology Museum.
