Additional Notes
Located 970km North of Brisbane, Mackay is a coastal North Queensland city. Settled in 1892, Mackay has been the largest sugar-producing area in Australia since the 1900s. Heritage buildings such as the police station, courthouse and bank have been retained, despite the area being hit by a massive tropical cyclone in 1918.
