Formatted abstract
This phenomenological research focused on the experiences of people of working age who, after chronic illness or injury, overcame losses in their capacity for their previous work and successfully obtained durable employment in a new field in the open labour market. The aim was to understand the experiences of changing employment from the viewpoint of the people who completed the process and to use the findings to make recommendations for rehabilitation practice.
