Abstract/Summary One of the challenges in research is in understanding processes and systems that enable teachers to build their expertise and commitment to reform-based pedagogies. A qualitative study documented the influence that a set of support mechanisms, or connection levers, had in assisting upper primary teachers over the course of a year in developing confidence in teaching mathematics through inquiry.
