Additional Notes White settlement in the Eidsvold area began in 1848 when the Archer brothers migrated from Norway to Queensland and established Eidsvold Station; naming it after the town of Eidsvoll in Norway. Once a thriving gold-mining town, today Eidsvold is known as the ‘Beef Capital of the Burnett’.
