Abstract/Summary The design process of building multidatabase systems is not developed enough for the problems of complex systems to be solved in a period of time feasable for any but the largest of companies. Based in part on business re-engineering principles, the methodology of design and analysis presented in this paper allows partial integration of information systems to be governed by the expected functionality.
