Abstract The Atlantic Wall was a series of fortifications built by the German Army, Navy and Air Force during World War 2 to prevent the Allied landing in continental Europe. Today, these structures may serve as markers and evidence of coastal changes during the last 60 years. The study is based new investigations of German fortifications in Bretagne Nord (North Brittany) between Cancale and Brest.
